Cal Trans Claim

Has anyone had any luck in getting paid for a Cal-Tran road work damage claim?
I'm getting the run-around, (no suprise) on a claim I filed in August for damage done from road work on I-80 in Vacaville/Fairfield repaving. Asphalt truck pulled out in front of me after dumping his load and splattered asphalt on the front bumper and hood causing numerous chips in the paint. Cal-Trans referred the claim to the construction company, who said they were not at that site doing the road work.
So, I'm back to Cal-Trans.

I know a guy that did it for his GT-R, but he had to get "7 on Your Side" if I remember correctly. At least that's what I remember him telling me.

I know another guy that just filed in small claims court. You can also go through your insurance company.

I usually take the plate number down of any trucks hauling gravel that pulls in front of me as soon as I hear the gravel hitting my car. I just pull out of the way or slow down and give them room to avoid them though.

I HATE CAL-TRANS. Stories of my own.

That run around is ridiculus though....such games

By the time I came back to take snaps, they'd fixed it. No point to file a claim without proof = claim denial.
