Another hit & run case

Just wanted to vent on what a bummer it is to find out the next day that someone hit your car and didn't leave their information.

I actually was ready to leave to class this morning when I discovered that someone had either rear ended or ran into my car. Doing so they left a noticeable scrape that took some of the paint off. Not only did my car get hit on the rear bumper, I discovered there was a ding on each side of my quarter panels!

It's probably not worth filing a claim with my insurance, but it truly sucks that I'd have to fix the accident with money out of my pocket.

I'll probably post pics of the damage later since i'm at school right now.

Although, the bright side to my dilemma is...I'll probably get a new paint job and look into some new side skirts at the same time. "Kill two birds with one stone"

Over the course of the recent snow storm we had here in NYC my hood was hit by, what I am assuming, was the hitch on the back of a pickup truck which completely destroyed the front of the hood. And the passing snowplow left a dent in my rear passenger door along with some scratches, and ofcourse no note or info left from anyone.

Sucks that this happened. Same thing happened to my car. Insurance will only pay for what was damaged so you will only get new paint for the panels that were hit. Hope things work out for you.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'll probably use touch up paint for now since good paint jobs are not on the cheap side.

Well atleast you survived it. Over here in San Jose I belive it was about a year or two ago a cop was off duty driving on highway 101 and the car driving infront of him ran over the two hitch ball and thru it up, went thru the widsheild and hit the cop in the face so hard he unfortunately died.
