This ZONC event is open to ALL responsible drivers that would like to join ZONC on this run and have some fun.

You don’t need a Z, or be a member to participate.

I am pleased to announce our Second Annual: A Day in the Sierra’s. I choose the Feather River Canyon for its beauty and just an all out fun road to drive. Difficulty of driving skills: med to light. Enjoy the breathtaking scenic criss cross over the Feather River along the beautiful roads carved through the granite canyon. In all of my travels on a motorcycle and now sports car this stretch of highway is my favorite. The highway connects to other greater highways heading north, but we are keeping on a southern route this time. The road is maintained very well by Cal Trans and provides some of if not the best sweepers in the Sierra’s. This run is not a spirited run, we are out to have fun and be safe.

Come out for a Day in the Sierra’s, the route is rated one of the best roads in California.

Update 6/23/10: Tips on things to bring

• 2 way radios
• Water
• Energy bars
• Camera, extra memory card and batteries.
• A fully charged cel phone
• Preferred currency to pay for lunch and dinner = CASH
• Absolutely no ATM cards.
• A light jacket
• Parka rain jacket

Jaun-G35, welcome to the area. You are gonna love this canyon carver run. Some of the fastest sweepers in this area. It's all about the drive! Take it at your own pace.

^Yeah, runs are awesome. I love driving and if this is anything like or better than the Stratton Mt runs i used to be a part of, from springfield, MA to the Mts in VT, I know i'll love this one. But yeah, thanks for the welcome, i hope to be a recognizable part of the community out here.

^I would love to drive the Mtn roads on the east coast. All the pics I have seen has me hungry. See you in June, and if you have 2 way radios, I would suggest bringing a set.

Check out the alternate Run that might be closer to home for a lot of peeps in the bay area. Peeps that have gone on our Runs have asked me later “why so few runs” and my answer is “to do it right it takes time and planning”. To pull off a successful Run requires a lot of behind the scenes planning and organizing, stuff peeps do not see, all they can see is that they are having fun. Each year new peeps come along because they see what they missed from last year and to sum it up in four words” That looks like fun”.

It’s all about the ride, meeting old friends and making new friends.

Note: There will be a closing cap on the number of cars that will be allowed to go. So instead of sitting on the fence and maybe missing out, sign up now and make the commitment. Keep in mind these runs are posted on several forums and daily, more peeps are signing up.

lets get some more G's in on this! wassup people! If you've never done a run before you dont know what you're missing!
