Thinking of setting up a go karting outing with some friends, nothing too huge (not enough people to warrant a private session or anything) but I would like to know where the best place to go is. I want to go somewhere that we can actually RACE and not just do time trials. faster karts is also a huge plus! price isnt too big of an issue but would rather not have to drive too far to go.

I think there's only one left if my memory serves me right. There used to be Speedring in Santa Clara and LeMans in Fremont but Speedring is no longer. Haven't been to LeMans in ages but the best one in the bay is in Burlingame: Go Kart Racer.

^^ Agreed ive heard of the LeMans one but i am a burlingame local and regular at GoKart Racer and it is sooooo much fun. Mondays they have the supertrack which is both of their tracks combined ++that track is sickkk, any other day is just as fun. As for their karts being fast, its is more than you will expect. Race is $45 and hot laps is $25....
