So, I'm not from the Bay Area... how safe is Stockton, especially around the Stockton Arena, for cars?

My gf somehow won tickets to a Snoop Dogg/Ice Cube concert , but she was telling me that she was worried about me driving my car there.

Can anyone let me know what it's like around there?

I wouldn't leave my car in Stockton... especially at a Snoop Dogg/Ice Cube concert. It's pretty ghetto for the most part.

Not ALL of Stockton is bad. I"ll go there for some events .. but I'm typically out of there before night-fall.

Based upon the map .. I wouldn't take the G .. based upon the map .. I might not go at all (but thats just me)

I worked security for a few events at that arena. Lets just say there were more than a few gangs fighting at the events. The area surrounding the arena sucks. You wonder why There are bars on all the windows for block and blocks. They will love to see your car parked out there. I would avoid.
