Anyone have hookup on audio parts/install?

So my oem 05 Bose head unit finally crapper out on me. Been givingme issues for a while...

Anyways I'm looking to go aftermarket with a double din setup but don't know where to start. Any suggestions on which screen to go with? What all do I need? I don't plan on replacing speakers or adding subs any time soon. Something that can play movies and has nav would be ideal.

If anyone can help me get what I need at a good price it would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks in advance.

Thinking about going with this HU:
http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=18745

Thoughts? I like that it supports pandora...

Do I need to get anything other than a head unit and double din conversion kit?

I just did that exact install

JDM Double din finisher and AC Controller
Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD
Pioneer CD-IU200V
PAC SWI-PS Steering Controller
Audiovox ACA200W RearView Camera
DVD Bypass from EBay
PAC ROEMNIS2 Wiring harness since im still using the 03 bose system

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...urce-list.html

Everything works well but the stock speakers will need to be replaced at some time since they do lack quality sound at high levels.

So obviously i need the head unit itself and the DD finisher/ac controller.

what is the pioneer cd-iu200v?

and do i need the steering controller thing? my steering wheel has controlls on it already

i can do without the rearview camera, but i suppose if the price is right, why not, how much is it? expensive install?

dvd bypass, im assuming thats to be able to play movies while driving?

do i need a wiring harness using the 05 bose system?

im a total audio/video NOOB!

oh and how much should i expect to spend total? hoping to keep it under 1,000.. i can get screen/dd finisher for under 700.

yes

that is an ipod cable for an ipod

yes you need the control module so that you can adapt your current controls with that of the after market pioneer ones embedded in the deck. but if you dont want to use the steering wheel controls then you dont need it.

NA

yes

yes

the most expensive part of it all is buying the dash kit and the actuall head unit. i spent 1000 alone on those two pieces.

good luck.

I've recommended Sound Innovations in Hayward to pretty much everyone since they completed my install. They are overkill for just installing a headunit though. You should give Ernie a call to see what he'd charge anyway.

When I was doing my research on this last year, I also spoke with the guys at Audiomobile in Oakland. They have been recommended by a bunch of people on here and my350z.com, and seem to be a cost effective option.

Also, call Motor Music in Daly City for a quote. A g35driver member works there (sfgr415).

Any competent shop will be able to take care of the bypass.
