If interested in Long Beach as an option, let me know. I stayed at a place (Best Western?) twice and was very happy with the room and $10 parking
I made reservations at the Marriott Marina del Ray today for Thu-Sat nights but can cancel them if we decide on Long Beach. I've got room for someone to share the room with me for any of those three nights and it comes out to about $80 each/night so you guys let me know if you'd rather stay in Long beach or Marina del Ray. The Marriott looks really nice. Originally Posted by G35Papa

I better get up in the morning and have my car freshly detailed for that price.

yup, san francisco is the worst when having to pay for parking at a hotel!!Originally Posted by xdEnbOyx
Hahaha. I've actually never heard of being charged to park at a hotel you're staying at.

As far as I know, my group will just have 3-4 people/cars and jaythree will stay with his parents. So that leaves me, beebo, and possibly tag35's girlfriend that need a place to stay. I PM'd beebo earlier and haven't heard back from him. I don't know if any of the Dallas guys are coming, I just know all my Houston friends pussed out.

Not if you REALLY want to go.
I run 11 restaurants and somehow found time to come. Had to take a week of vacation but I'll be there dammit!

Hire a lot of good people to work under you and continue to develop them on a daily basis and it becomes a lot easier. I've been in the business 30 years this year and feel fortunate I still love what I do.

Chris, if you could include this in your opening post, that would be cool =D
Okay guys, here is the map of the Venice Beach (Marina del Rey) area. The green point B is where the meet is, 2600 Barnard Way, and the cluster of points indicate the nearest hotels. I linked all of the hotels down below for you guys to check out. I also did a price check for each place which include the weekend, basic rooms, tax not included. The rates are current as of 8/24. Please keep in mind that the rates will change as you delay.

A - Marina International Hotels & Bungalows ~$126/night
B - The Marina del Rey Hotel ~$159/night
C - Best Western Inn ~$161/night
D - Courtyard Los Angeles Marina del Rey ~$169/night
E - Jamaica Bay Inn ~$209/night
F - Foghorn Harbor Inn ~$149/night
G - The Ritz-Carlton (for the ballers) ~$299/night
H - Ramada Inn ~$117/night
I - Marriott Marina del Rey ~$209/night
J - Jolly Rogers Hotel ~$120/night (for one bed), $140/night (for two beds)
I have made a reservation at the Marriott along with Tim (Blue Dream). Ideally it would be nice if everyone stayed at one place, so this can change depending on everyone else's preference, but if people don't agree on one place then it is what it is. Cheers!
(PS PM Tim if you're interested in sharing a room; he has a spot available)

Good stuff, thanks for the effort Denver. And yes I have a room to share for Thu-Sat nights if anyone needs one. First come, first served people.

Awesome, Marriott Marina del Rey is the place most people are staying.
Please be sure to reserve a room ASAP as the rates will increase!
