Installation Pricing? Is this reasonable?

Hey all

Just got an 05 LS Coupe, and am finally gunna begin modding the beast. I was going to with some new wheels, S-tech springs, F&R SPC camber kits, and an alignment. I was quoted the following,

Spring Install $315.00
Front Camber Kit Install $210.00
Rear Camber Kit Install $189.00
Alignment $135.00

Total: $850

This was at a top end shop, and while I know many of the installation parts are in the same area so the cost might be a little lower considering these will all be done at the same time, is even $600 or something reasonable for the above? It just seems quite expensive to me but I guess you gotta pay to have a reputable shop do the install.

I know some of you will probably say I could do the install myself and save the cash, but I dont have any of the tools, and I live in an apartment complex and dont have the space to do it either. So while installing things myself will be good in the future, its just not practical currently.

If anybody has some input that would be great, as much as I want to have it done right, I am going with springs currently because of their cheap cost. With the above installation costs its going to cost as much as coils...

Thanks all and I look forward to seeing some of you riding around!

There are members here on the forum that have the same experience and knowledge to do your install for half the price.

And $135 is rediculous for a basic alignment. When installing the front camber arms they should be set at max positive so they won't need to be adjusted. Which leaves the rear camber/toe adjustment and front toe (same as alignment on a factory G35)

That said, if there is anybody you could recommend please let me know. Or anybody else can chime in they are local and can help me out or recommend a shop/place?

Thanks

That is expensive. The book calls for 4 hours on spring install. So that is why it is $315.00. Install takes less than an hour. $150.00 is a fair price. I would shop around to be honest or get a friend with tools to help.

I go to Chris. He was out of Berkley but recently moved into his own shop. Lots of people here and my350Z have gone to him. Make sure you let him know you are on the forum.

autornd makes me laugh with there prices, you can get a alignment that'll put you back into spec for $55 at wheel works.

http://my350z.com/forum/northern-cal...-now-open.html

^ take your camber kit and springs to him, then drive to a wheel works or any alignment place and spend $50-75 on an alignment and you are solid.
