i found one that charge only 2k in oakland but they dont sand it down, do you guys think it will be ok? i mean, for 4000 i can repaint the car twice at the oakland one. i am still debating. i will be making my final decision in mid of april.

the one in oakland uses original paint, and 3 layers of paint and 3 layers of clear.

i am just gonna repaint the exterior, not going to change color at all. since it's the original color, it is not necessary to paint the door jams and engbay, right? i feel like the tnt autobody and cut the price to 3k i am guessing it will definiately do a way better job than the one in oakland.

5k? damn that's a little too expensive to me. reason i say that is my car is 2003 sedan, with 157k miles. 6sp. it worth probably around 6000-7000 for good condition according to kbb. because of that i don't want to spend 5k on a paint job for my car that is worth 6000.
you get the idea, i was goona leave it the way it is. but i recently found a good deal on a authentic nismo front bumper and rear lip. so i think might as well repaint the whole car.

am i analyzing this situation correctly?

also i picked up motordyne spacer and hr y pipe, i have a full coupe sports suspension(15k miles) in my garage too. even tho the car has 157k miles. but it still drives like a champ....

only problem with car is it leaks a little engine oil, but no big deal.

Hit up Garageworks in hayward. They specialize in auto detailing and paint. Tell em Randy in the G35 coupe sent you and they should set you up with a good deal with great quality. Linh is a great guy thats been doing cars all his life.

don't cheap out on a paintjob. Talk to mark at federal and see what he can do, also talk to tony or david at TNT. paint is not somthing you should be cheaping out on.
