+1 for TNT as well. They painted my car and did everything I expected...above N beyond

I'm already planning to bring my Supra to get painted from Tony.

This is really shocking, TNT went above and beyond on my G. I would only go to TNT for anybody work on any of my car. I would like to hear TNT's side of the story.

Not trying to bash TNT as David & Tony are some cool guys, but I have to say I expected more quality work from them based off the positive reviews on the boards. After receiving over 6.5K from my insurance, I have had multiple issues with the job they did on my car. Keep in mind they were all minor issues and nobody is perfect, but having to drive from Livermore to Sacramento to get these issues resolved was a pain. I had my car resprayed in a metallic black (car was OB before) and issues I had with my car started with a poor masking job which resulted in missing paint / clear on certain parts of the car, runs in the clear on the rear bumper, overspray on my rims which wasn't fixed until I brought it up when picking up my car, a ripped drivers seat, a bubble in my CS Rear Bumper that was purchased by them and painted by them, and scratched up headlights. The turnaround time was also somewhat slow. They did offer to correct all mistakes that were pointed out to them but just dont have the time to be without my car or take the drive up to Sac to get them fixed. Current issues that remain are the ripped drivers seat and bubble on the CS Rear but like I said, TNT offered to repair/replace but just haven't had the time to take that long drive and be without my car. Once again, not trying to bash TNT but just had higher expectations of their work.

Missing clear/paint by Driver window

Missing clear/paint by passenger window

Clear run at rear CS Bumper

Bubble at rear CS Bumper

Headlights scratched up

Ripped Driver Seat

^^ i had my car painted at my insurance expense as well and have suffered from a few issues as well:

1. just like you i have some clear coat run
2. the paint on that weird strip between the bottom of my doors/sideskirts is cracking and chipping on both sides
3. my rear mudgaurds on my oem bumper were not removed during the paint process and the paint is chipping around the edges.

i tried contacting them a couple times with no success; but to be fair i didnt try HARD mainly because like the OP im in san jose and their sac...

I got my car back today from TNT. I had it there originally for 3 weeks for a color change but there were some small issues that needed to be fixed. TNT had my car back there for the last 2 weeks. Overall I am satisfied with the work. There were some clear drips here and there. When all is said and done, David and TNT did all they can to resolve the issues and then some. No paint job is perfect. I too had to drive up pretty far from San Mateo multiple times.

For those who say that the OP is bashing or trying to give TNT a bad reputation are just wrong, this is a public forum where people post good and bad experiences they have had and I think that is completely fair and well within their rights.

I have heard good things about TNT myself, not that I ever used them as I have a great shop local to me which I have used on all my cars.

Kudos to the OP for speaking up and sharing your 02.

^^ Thanks for that. I'm not on here to much obviously.
Lol why would I make that up. I have pics. Plenty of them too. No need to post all them but I will post a couple when I get home I'm out of town. Like I said before I'm not bashing the shop I'm posting my experience. And seems like others are speaking up aswell.

I use a local place to me,

rdbodyworx.com
(707) 422-9757
1626 N Texas St, #C, Fairfield, CA

They have painted my G35, M5, Altima and an old Jetta I once had. Never had a paint run, overspray or areas of missing paint.

I had a pretty bad experience with TNT as well. Got a full car repaint and could give a list of about 10 issues that are serious.

They tried to make it right only after multiple trips to the shop and way too many phone calls, but really I just want near perfect paint, which I do not have.

Sucks to hear for the OP and other people with problems. Sad to see some who had great experiences try to bash on those who didn't, you guys were lucky to have great experiences and I'm sure you would be pissed as hell if your bumper was installed so poorly from a supposedly great shop. So don't bash on them like they are lying or they did something wrong, fact is they didn't get even remotely as good of treatment or an experience as you did, but that isn't their fault it's TNT's.

Have not been on this forum in sometime and logged on today to see this.

I have had my G35, Armada and FX worked on at TNT and they did great work. I recently moved to Chicago and bought a new car. Tried different shops out here and they are nothing to what Tony and David have done on my cars. Wish I had the funds to transport this car to Tony because I know I would always receive what I ask for.

Hands down best service and I have recommended family and friends to his shop, and ALWAYS will!

When I return to Cali, first stop is TNT!!!

It seems like no shop is perfect. I still have some issues with my paint that I hope will be resolved. I guess I had just set my expectations way too high from the start.

I have heard or both good and back experiences as TNT. I had my car fixed at TNT about a year ago. It was insurance work and they hooked it up with new bumper and sides, which is the reason I did not complain. I initially did, but it went no where and I am over 2hrs from Sac. I will never take my car back to TNT for any type of work.

Cons:
Runny clear coat on hood
Fiberglass bumper when it was supposed to be poly
Crooked bumper lights as a result of bad cutting/drilling.
Door actuator was never hooked back up (replaced door)
Tint on window was scratched (they had to replace my door)
Overspray on drivers side QP
Sideskirts were screwed to the door runners (not oem locations) bottom of skirs were never fastened down [GHETTO!]
Door was missing hardware

Pros:
Paint match was excellent
They hooked it up with new aero.
Hot receptionist
