Newbie questions

Hello All,

Newbie here. Not just newbie to the forum but also to the wonderful world of G35 Sedan. Have a family car in Acura MDX and thought this would be a great 2nd car. Picked up a 2004 G35 sedan and love the car and the way it drives.

Some quick questions though. I am not sure if it is lowered or it is still stock. How do I find out? Is there any easy way to tell this. I am not much of a car guy and so go easy on me please.

Welcome!

The easy way to tell if the car is lowered is to be a car guy and just look a the ride height, or the suspension itself. But you do not meet the prerequisite.

How about this. Just post up a side shot of the car. Most of us will be able to tell by looking at the gap between the wheel and fender.

another way would be to measure the distance from the ground to fender. Do it on all 4 sides, and compare to the FSM levels, that are posted somewhere on this board.

Note that through age the car can settle a little and lose some height. I think my car has lost a little over half an inch.

you don't even need to jack up the car, look at the rear springs if they are not black then they are not stock, same with the front.

OE suspension. I'd put money on it.

Looks clean! Watch out for that mod bug, and enjoy.
