Just asking if anyone knows where I can find any fireworks(sparklers n stuff). It's chinese new year and I can't find any for sale. Is it illegal or something in the states ?

 

Depends on the county/city in Washington state and I think the same applies in California. On Mercer Island where I live it is crazy around July 4th and New Years. Roman Candles, rockets, big firecrackers - all sort of stuff that is illegal anywhere else in King County.

 

You used to be able to find that stuff really easily in Oak & SF Chinatown but the cops started cracking down the last few yrs. Good luck tho.

 

Darn, i didn't see this post earlier... You could go to Lion Plaza in San jose, corner of Tully and King! let me know if you still want some! hehehe.

 

Won't these stores be closed for the next three days becuase of the New Year?

 

most of them will be open till the end of the week.

 

Now I know who to bother around the 4th of July.
