Help, need boxes!

I just sold my wheels and the boxes I was planning on shipping them in were destroyed by the rain.

Do any of you by chance have boxes laying around that would be big enough to fit one wheel each. I'm thinking 22" x 22" x 12".

Thanks!

I'm sure somebody here has boxes laying around. My car is now really demodded. I picked up some OEM non-sport 17's, and raised my coilovers up. This is going to be a long 6 weeks.

Any idea how to pack the wheels up safely? The tires will protect the majority of the wheel so I'm guessing all I need is some padding for the lip/spokes.

boris, take a look at how my Volks were shipped:

http://codeflux.smugmug.com/gallery/1165637/1/54431262

they had a thick piece of cardboard and bubble-wrap (on the outside) on a face side of the rim, basically taped to the wheel.

you could do the same - 2 thick pieces of cardboard (on both sides of the wheels), bubble wrap on the ouside of that, and a lot of tape to hold that all together.

as far as boxes go, aren't there shipping companies who provide a service of packing your own stuff?...

sorry, it's the other way around - bubble wrap next to the wheel, then cardboard...

You could always go to your local U-Haul or storage place. They'll have boxes.

Lots of new parts on order, swapping out existing mods for others, having some custom work done, and preparing to give the G a new look. I'm staying kinda secretive about it for now, but the project should be done in 6-7 weeks.

Until I have everything in, my car is at stock height on stock 2003 wheels.

Haha, sorry Shane!

$1,400 + shipping. I'll be there April 1st, but probably in the IS- my G is an embarassment right now.
