NW Audio Help
Well i think i have a serious ground loop issue with my setup and would like some suggestions on people to take it to? Ive tried 2 different shops and they cant seem to figure it out.
First problem, with the deck's src off, i get engine whine that i can hear that increases as engine speed increases.
2nd. With a song on pause and i adjust volume i get a pretty loud annoying constant humm through my speakers
3rd. with song playing, i get humm in the background of the song and if i listen to it at a lower volume i also can hear the engine whine.
Heres my setup
Pioneer Avic-N1 Headunit
Infinity 6.5" Kappa Perfect 6.1 Component's in the doors
Infinity 6.5" Kappa Coaxils in the middle
Infinity 6x9 Kappa Coaxils on the rear deck
One 12" Eclipse Titanium Sub
Hifonics Brutus bx1205d Powering the subwoofer
Memphis 16-PR100.4 50x4 Amp powering the speakers
Optima Yellow Top Battery
I believe its using Stinger cables for power, ground and rca's
Not sure if it matters, but the avic-n1 has 1v outputs for its rca's which is probably why its picking up some noise. (more so than a hu that has higher voltage outputs) atleast i think?
Ive been to Audio Lab in Marysville who did the install of the products and also Magnolia Hi fi in lynnwood off 196th to help figure out the noise.
To me it seems to be a big ground loop issue, i dont really want to use a ground loop isolator unless i absolutely have to, ive heard it kills the sq.
So if anyone has any suggestions please help. If i cant figure it out, then i most likely will end up selling the avic-n1 and going to a different HU (although i love the dvd and navigation feature)
