Local shop to install window motor?
Hello, my passenger side window motor is dead and infiniti quoted me 550 to replace it... 350 for the motor itself, which I found for 170 new online.... just curious if anyone had suggestion of a place to take it. I heard gregs japanese auto is good, let me know! Thanks a lot!

Hmm i was thinking that but no I couldnt find anyone that has done it themselves. I found the g35 service manual and it doesnt look too hard.... have you done it? If so, do you know if I need to remove the window to do it?
I've done it on a E36 BMW 318i and an OLD Volvo 740 turbo. The glass usually sits in a tray the has scissor arms that attach to the motor and door. I'm not sure about our cars, but for those other two I didn't take the window out at all. Just pulled the door panel with the window up, removed the old motor, lined up the new one, and bolted it in. Does the service manual online here (from heatsinkninja) have a good exploded view of the door, and/or say that the glass needs to be removed?

Well, I do have the exploded view diagram but it really does not say anything about removing the window, it just says to raise the window up, and then unbolt it from the arms, and then pull up the back... so im not sure if pull up the back just means extend it up as far as it will go, or if that means it will come off the door
