Hey guys, I'm going to get a Spacer but I'm not sure which is best for this area. Since it snows like once a year here in the Seattle area, should I be getting the Copper ISO Thermal spacer? Or just get a regular one and not drive when it is snowing? Or does it matter? Any advice is appreciated

 

I assume you mean the motordyne one? Get the iso-thermal one. . .it attempts to isolate engine heat away from the intake as much as possible. As for snow? Freezing temps only matter if you put the included valve in the coolant line that runs to the throttle body. For "warm climates" you can close the valve and cut off the coolant flow to the the throttle body. This will keep the "hot" coolant from flowing to the TB when you are driving, but if you let your car sit in freezing temps, the TB may freeze too. Bottom line, it doesn't really matter, other than the coolant-throttle body line.

 

Have you considered getting an aftermarket plenum like the Kinetix, Crawford, APS, etc...?

 

I have the iso-thermal spacer, works great and havent had any problems in the winter. Never had to use the coolant cut off.
