let us know how it turns out man... and is it really worth it spending hundreds of bucks on a custom exhaust when you can already buy a decent one for that much money.... cuz I been lookin at doing just custom pipes in the rear and getting rid of the catback part, but it would be around $400 I estimate.... and for a little over $500 I'm pretty sure I could get a Nismo from a 350 and another $50 for the extension and I'm good. What you think about that ?
post some pics and sound clips of your exhaust after it's done so we could see and hear...

wow... you just made my day dude, I needed something to enhance the stock VQ sound and I been lookin for what exactly for a few months now, the only conclusion I've come too is the Nismo with High Flow cats... but if this setup you got sounds stock, but just louder... then I'm going to do it, I thought that would've cost at least a few hundred....I saw someone do it to a 350z and he said it was a louder form of the stock sound and I was gonna do it then but wasnt too sure... so post some sound clips when you can, we all wanna hear... and also if you could send me some high quality pics I'd use them to show my shop so they could do this for me... I'll PM you my email, thanks

yo mixture I just got it done to my stock exhaust this morning... when I first turned the key it sounded really deep and almost V8 ish like...I had a grin on my face.. it's kinda like a cheap more quiet version of a V8 mustang exhaust.... it's loud at 1500rpm and 2500 and up (all depending on how much throttle you're giving it) but my car is an automatic so I know it would sound twice as good with a manual, and I think I'm gonna find myself driving a lot more tiptronic these next few weeks. In all honesty though, I'm mostly disappointed because it didn't retain any of the stock VQ sound I love so much, it sounds like a totally different car now, so I guess I'm not happy with it, but gonna suck it up till my Nismo exhaust arrives.... it just sounds like a much deeper version of those tin can mufflers that people put on their Civics..

post pics and sound clips of yours when you can, Imma do the same later on tonight or tomorrow

Adon' I know what you mean about retaining the VQ sound... I talked to my muffler guy and he's out looking for small muffler that we could baffle the roar a bit. we plan on cutting a section in the midpipe where we would be able to sleeve and clamp and extra muffler. i don't plan on getting it welded until we find the right sound. BTW, im 5at as well. i drive it on auto now since the roar can be defening in manumatic mode at those higher rpms.
