Question in need of help!

how would i go about replacing an alternator in my '03 G35 sedan. i know the alternator needs replacing because well i am putting out like 2 amps, and when the engine is loaded i am putting out 1.4 amps. so yeah the stock alternator should be some where in the 120-140 amps if i am not mistaken. the car as i am driving RANDOMLY will act like it has not power and the rpms gauge starts just jumping like crazy from 1500 -3000 WHILE i am accellerating. take my foot of the gas it stops, easy foot back in nice and slow doesnt do it, put a little bit of foot into the pedal does it again, pull over to the side of the road, turn car off lets sit for about 1 minute turn it on again and drive it hard and NOTHING. it stops doing it. SOOOO since i have already checked the battery (it's good full charge) and i have checked the fule filter(clean) and the air flow and the air filter and the spark plugs and the exhaust, and NO code is being thrown and since the alternator is dying i figure this is probable the demon spawn causing the problem. figured while driving the engine already loaded, go to speed up and the car bogs, and rpms jump because not enough juice from alternator causing the car to go into what i like to call safe mode, (idle mode) does this theory totally sound crazy or do you think this could be the culprit. also i need to know how to get the info on how to work on this damn thing, IE a service manual.
