I went the opposite as you Steve. . . I kept my OEM tips and removed the muffler. I wanted a deeper sound with a stock look.

I dont' have a particular problem with it. The oem tips have a chrome bezel around them to make them look nicer/bigger. As long as it's subtle, why not.
