I am also interested in a G35, Sedan, Prem/ltr, Auto, winter pkg, Nav, and Aero pkg. What should I expect to pay below MSRP, anything, or are the sedans still not going below MSRP???
Re: Price/Seattle
You should be able to get below MSRP on a sedan now. Most people I've talked to have been able to get modest discounts... Especially since the coupe came out (a little sales cannibalizing going on..)
Re: Price/Seattle
Determine what invoice price is and work up from that. Infiniti in Kirkland has, what appears to be, 40+ sedans. Find you specs and negotiate. They're getting MSRP for the coupes so can afford to lighten their stock of sedans for 3-4% over invoice. Good luck. .dean

Re: Price/Seattle
I wanted to buy my G35c in Beaverton, where I live, but they "second-stickered" their cars with the "NW Protection Package" (clear coat, undercoat, etc.), @ 1500 bucks. Nice sales guy, and after some time, got them to come down considerably, but I thought the undercoating/fabric treatment ploy as a REQUIRED dealer add-on went out in the '70's. Only place I found the coupe below MSRP was in Melbourne, Florida, but didn't have time for the road trip. California delaers wanted to make me pay for LoJack systems (no service in Oregon), and Scottsdale (AZ) told me they'd do MSRP, but needed to add a $250 administrative fee, dark tinting (illegal up here in the land of little sun), and other stuff, tho' they offered to buy my one-way airline ticket, knowing they were making out just fine. Bought mine @ Kirkland through their Internet Manager right at MSRP. No haggling. Only cost over MSRP was a WA trip permit. He told me what was scheduled to come in, I put a $2k deposit down, and I had the car in about 6 weeks. Patience is a virtue, tho' I know if I'd been more patient, as in later this fall when the coop-hoopla subsides just a little, maybe I could have saved a few hundred bucks. But who wants to wait with summer coming on?!
Re: Price/Seattle
Yep, sounds identicle with me Kirkland at MSRP with Tony. The 2k deposit kinda caught me by surprise. They had allocation for 6 6MT coupes for April so, as #7 on the list, expect to get in on the June orders unless someone bails and goes fo an automatic. Expecting Aug./Sep. so will get just a bit of summer but enough time to get some protection on it. As far as Beaverton, who needs extra undercoating around here anyway ?? And I thought all cars come with clear coat now !! How were they on keeping you informed on delivery ?? Have fun !! ...dean

Re: Price/Seattle
I just missed April allocation as #7 at the time, so I know how it must feel to be on the cusp. But if you live in the NW, Kirkland is definately the best option. The internet manager is straightforward, and a pleasure to work with. I just hope I can deal with this wait and salvage some of the summer
As for Beaverton, I wrote to consumer affairs about that practice. I think it is absolutely ridculous that still happens in this day and age, and the fact that they are doing it at a luxury dealership makes it that much worse.

Re: Price/Seattle
Humm yeah that sounds fishy for sure... I test drove at Beaverton and the sales guy, Marco was pretty cool, did not mention that to me.. They require a $1000 to get on the list... probably going to get on it in a week or so.. did email kirland to see what the wait is up there... MSRP is cool with me... I don't think there is going to be any wheeling and dealing on this car being so in demand and all...

Tony at Kirkland was great. He even picked me up at the Greyhound Bus terminal (which I don't think either of us had ever been to before, and we'd both just as soon leave as a one-timer). :-) But don't be afraid to call him now and then to get updates on who may have cancelled. As far as the one you have on order, they usually know a "ballpark" date, and then about 3 days before delivery, they pretty much have a firm date they can give you. As far as those who might be waiting on an ordered car in Beaverton, I'd ask them straight-out whether they plan to waive the protection thing. The deposits are refundable. BTW, in Kirkland, the closer-guy did present me with the protection pkg., but only as a proposal, with zero pressure. I can't say enough good about the purchasing experience at Kirkland. It was way worth the "delightful" bus journey from Portland last Sunday.
Re: Price/Seattle
TCFOOL, be sure to double check on the protection package. When we tried to get on the list, they would not let us get on without agreeing to purchase it. This came from the who I believe is the sales manager, Scott. They also seem to be getting half the allocation that Kirkland gets, so also check where exactly you would be on the waiting list. One time I was told 6 to 9 months, another that I could get in the current month. It really seems like pulling teeth to get a straight answer from Beaverton.
AC- I will either be doing the Greyhound or Amtrak thing as well. Glad to hear Tony was able to pick you up, hopefully he won't mind doing the same for me.

Re: Price/Seattle
I don't doubt the allocation for Kirkland is double. Good to know that I'm at a good place. Tony's cool. When the April allocation was made, he called and indicated where I was on the list and that I could order an auto coupe for April. Nah... I'll wait. Mine will be white on black, loaded along w/the drilled pedals. He said someone did drop off the 6MT list and go for an auto. Kirkland received some extra coupes for not adding a second sticker. All white w/nav.
I sent an e-mail to Beaverton in early March and got a note back and said they'd let me know when I could put a deposit down. Haven't heard from them since. Spokane's only getting 1-2 6MT allocations and sounded like they do Nissan and Ford.. must just moonlight for Infiniti !!
Sounds like a good cadre developing in the Portland area.

Tec (Dean):
I think I got the 5spd auto that you passed on. I wanted an auto this time around, since I'll be in traffic quite a bit, and... well, when you get into your mid-'50's you'll know! :-) I also have '96 Maxima 5spd and I'll drive that when I want to go through the gears... around the block, & then get the G outta' the garage! Anyway, your dreams will be rewarded! This is one fine car! I STILL dream about driving it! Yeah I know, you guys, GET A LIFE!

Re: Price/Seattle
I will check about the protection thing at Beaverton and maybe call that Gary guy in kirkland tomorrow....
Yes I too couldn't get a straight answer at Beaverton as well... 6-9 months for 6MT and maybe if someone cancels sooner... maybe because I did not want to put the $1000 down right then they did not want to talk real serious.... But I am serious for sure.. I will have one of these babys for sure... lol thanks!

Re: Price/Seattle
ac, I'm not that far behind you, agewise. The white sure looks nice and sparkly in the sun. No spoiler for me as I'm a buff waxer type now. As far as a life, we could do alot worse !!
TC, by protection, I was thinking of wax. But I do plan on getting a clear bra, probably Invici-shield (not 3M for white) within a couple of days after pickup unless the dealer isn't charging max profit to set it up.
You should be able to find out how many are on the list to get an order in. The wait is allowing me to save up more for down payment. I thought about holding out for an '04 but haven't heard of any real issues with the '03 model. I understand October starts the '04 cycle for Dec. delivery. I hope to survive until September. ...dean
