My suggestion based on what I can see from the pictures would be to take your wheels to a good powder coater, have the media blasted and the coated. Just make sure they are a good coater. Ask them if they know the annealing temperature for 6061-T6 Aluminum. If they don't then don't take it there. They should tell you it is 325F. If you have any questions, please ask.

 

anyone know a good shop where i can get my wheels powdered coated? i wanna keep the stock wheels since they look good but would like to paint them a diff color.

 

I know a great shop up here in Bellingham, Advanced Powder Coating. The owner is a car guy and knows to get low temp. powder and bake the wheels at 275F to avoid annealing.
