kids have toy stores, women have handbags/cloths etc and we have car stores
sounds like intec is waiting for the new 3m scotchcal 1080 series vinyls to come out. it is now availible for sale via www.idsfinishes.com everyone is very optimistic of this material in the wrapping industry. what's good about it is that 3m finally is making 60" cut material. i have some samples of it and it looks great. i also use the oracal 970ra matte black which has come in 60" cuts from day 1 (this is whats being used on all the highend wrapped cars you see online since most cars hoods are more than 48"wide). the difference btwn the 2 materials is the 3m matte black is a little on the gray side vs. the oracal stuff is a lil "blacker" u can't go wrong with either material. $250.00 is a good price, that's what i charge.
i have a feeling that batmobile guy is selling some rolls of 24"xXX" that he gets for a deal and thats why you have a overlap/seam... not the way to go if it's preventable.

yup that's the new 3m scotchcal 1080 series glossy carbon fiber vinyl. that is also releasing this month! it also comes in a silverish/ gunmetal color i got a sample of those too. 1 correction to the link description it is NOT Di-Noc. Dinoc is made from a pvc material (thicker/more plastic'y feeling, harder to stretch and you can over heat it n it gets kinda discolored). the new scotchcal 1080 is vinyl, just like the 180c comply with controltac, with air release, pressure adheisive, etc ( blacker, more shiny, smaller carbon pattern, softer more rubbery feel to it). you can't go wrong with either one, pricing seems like it's a couple $'s off. i think the di-noc is still more expensive. i think it was like $4.80 per sq feet if you buy a 25yard box...
wouldn't it melt around the tips?
you would be fine, i have wrapped 2010 audi a4, 07 audi s4, 06 clk amg, 08 s550, 09 wrx rear diffuser and 09 wrx sideskirts in di-noc with no issues. all look great and i have had no complaints about heat. keep in mind i wrapped around 13 pieces in my 07 335i coupe engine bay and that is holding up strong, has been on there for about 3-4mnths now.
