Anybody snap any pics? Would enjoy seeing that tt kit installed.

* Oh and would a tune on a bone stock 05/5AT yield any positive results? If so how much would it run?

Thanks,
Jason

Osiris tune is $750 including 2 hours of dyno time, FI takes longer but thats plenty of dyno time for an NA tune.

You'll gain some peak horsepower, but the majority of the gains will be in mid range and responsiveness from syncing the throttle-by wire, smoothing out the fuel maps, and programing a more efficient air/fuel mixture. As for whether its worth it or not on a stock car.... Just ask shank

You can also expect to see a noticeable increase in fuel economy, I went from 22-26 mph highway after I was tuned NA, granted its considerably lower now tho...

Thank You for the explanation, sounds worth while as I would be more interested in the smoother running and mpg gain vs the horsepower (stock is already fast enough to do something stupid and my wife drives the car as well).

Does the tune hold even if say the battery was replaced or the negative terminal disconnected for a repair? I would hate to lose a $750 tune over something so trivial.

Thanks again seymore4 (Joe?) and sorry to the OP for the slight hi-jack (now let's see some pics of that tt) .

Part of the tuning is rewriting the ECU code, so unless the ECU was physically damaged the tune will be spot on You can also reflash it back to stock if you ever decide you want to sell the car and there will be no trace of it ever being installed

Right in the middle of buying a new house but once that's all said and done I'll be giving Intec a call

Oh, it happened alright! Did it ever.

No matter. Good things are coming! I mean- really good things. All the things that made the doubters and nay sayers announce that the tt kit was too big are being rectified. Rods, pistons, bearings, tranny.

so for those of you who didn't get to see the car/ well, it'll be there for awhile

I'm heading home now- but I asked Joe to snap plenty-o-photos.

It was nice meeting the guys and seeing how passionate the shop is about the job and the performance. It really was quite inspiring to see so much pride in the end result. You Seattle / Kent / area boys are very, very lucky to have a resource like that available to you.

In fact, i consider myself very, very fortunate to have the car in their hands. It'll be a better car as a result.

Eh guys. Most of you are probably at GG right now- wish I could have been there I think it'd have been great. Hope Mike showed up with his Honda and proved that Honda people are people too- especially when they specialize in G/Zs. lol

To DGP: I'm not going to take anything away from what seymore was saying about the tune because it will definitely "wake" the car up. When I got my first one done it was alongside a full catback exhaust and hi-flow cats... so there was a pretty nice performance increase. What REALLY opened things up was the transgo shift kit. You want to see your car go from zero to hero in 700 bucks or so? Take a REALLY hard look at it.

Indeed, owned Honda's for years and will no doubt buy another one at some point.

Thanks for the insight on the tune and shift kit, I have been considering the shift kit since I am hearing it's smoother with the kit, only thing that concerns me there is voiding my extended powertrain warranty (once that's up... all bets are off ).

Thank You
Jason

Yeah... that's where I'm at too. Extended warranty? Frick, half the time they make it such a pain in the *** by making excuses as to why it's NOT covered by warranty- I finally decided if I surrounded myself with the right people I could figure my way around anything my warranty would have otherwise covered.

Depends on the stealership- maybe you have a good relationship with them... but I got the warranty with mine and it was more work trying to get a shop to cover different things to make it worth it.

But yes... that's definitely the responsible way to go about it
