how much for the install?
I recommend doing it yourself. Suspension swaps are not that hard, you will learn a lot, it doesn't take too many tools, and you can always take it to get aligned after. Then you can start doing friends cars of ANY type for beer/pizza/cash once you get your basic understanding down.

This.

I think that I've changed up my suspension half a dozen times and a friends Z a few times. It's not that hard. As others have said, save the money ($250+? no thanks) and do it with a friend or two.
Even if you don't own tools now, you can spend $150 and get the tools you need while saving money and you will have the tools for future use.
Good to hear. 2 years ago I called intec and got quoted 600. Then I called the shop in auburn drift office I think and it was 650 then I called vtr in Everett it was 800 then I took a few hours and did it myself.
I would agree installing coilovers isn't rocket science, but there are tricks and secrets that make it a lot easier, and for some people the peace of mind that its done right and set up the way they want is worth the $$... Depends on the person. Some people are lucky enough to have jobs where they can make more money than the $250 the shop would charge to install in the same amount of time it would take them to figure it out, if that were my case I'd definitely pay to have it done!
