Deal/Kirkland

Have any of you that have purchased from Kirkland received any sort of deal other than MSRP from them for a 6MT coupe? Sure they are nice and all, but dealers in other parts of the country are dealing. Do they at least consider giving you products like trunk mats, wheel locks, or even a hat or touch up paint? I have my deposit down, and don't want to buy a car in Texas or Southern California to save a couple of bucks, and am just wondering if there is any wiggle room. I know it is all supply and demand, but I can't help but feel that there is a little gouging going on. Also, when I placed the order amazingly a car was available in a couple of weeks, because someone just dropped out. I think I had already seen the car on the lot and they are trying to maintain perceived demand. I told them I would be interested in a deal on a 2003, and the response was MSRP. If I am going to pay full price I am not buying an end of model year car. What is your experience?
Greg

I bought out of state because Kirkland was telling me that they were not selling below MSRP on 6MT sedans even though I got a hold of at LEAST 5 dealers in CA and TX that would sell for $500 over invoice. They are really difficult to bargain with since they know they're the only show in town so they can pretty much do whatever they want. If you do buy at Kirkland and have to pay MSRP, just get an 04.

Where did you buy your sedan from? I am not really willing to go to Texas even though Grubbs looks great. Even L.A. is further than I really want to go to. I have kind of resigned myself to pay MSRP for the 6MT coupe if I have to unless a better deal comes up. A little competition would be nice. The 04 order should be placed at the beginning of Sept, so I will see what happens between now and Dec. No wonder their lot is covered with sedans if they won't budge on price.

Exactly, they'll be swallowing those '03's if they dont' start cutting some deals. Last I checked, they had 4 cars on their lot with my configuration, too bad their greed kept them from letting me take one off their hands. Oh well, their loss.

Check your PM from me.

I understand a new dealership is going to open in Fife in Dec. Unfortunately, it will be owned by the same folks in Kirkland.
