Santa Cruz VP FREE MTB frame
I have a 2005 Santa Cruz VP Free frame for sale.
Medium with FOX 5.0 DH coil 8 inch travel
Orange
Excellent shape, wicked freeride frame, can handle almost anything you care to ride on or off. Does not have too many serious rides, so everything is in nearly new condition. The biggest drop I did was about 10 feet off A-Line.
No creaks, or looseness. Currently built up as a complete. I would sell it ready to ride or part it as required.
I am selling this to purchase a more usable frame for the riding I now do, which I have on order.
Here is the specs again as a complete build.
ORANGE VP Free Medium Fox 5.0 DHX uprated 450 LB I am about 200 lbs and about 5'8" on a good day.
This bike is built with premium components no expense spared. Similar build would cost you over $6G
Marzocchi 66RC - tuned in BC by Marzocchi team when I was at Whistler
SAINT Crank, hubs, 8"rotors, rear derailleur
Synchros Mentals - you need shin protection for sure.
E13 chainguide
Whipperman chain
Polished AVID Juicy 5's with GOODRICH brake lines front and rear
MAVIC 729s DT Swiss spokes Blue Goove and Nevegal tires 2.35 with DH tubes
Chris King headset
Danger Boy Howitzer stem
Amoeba Racing handle bar ODI Ruffian grips
Thompson seatpost - Titec Berserker seat
Has the normal transportation scratches and such
This bike is essentially new. Ridden more cross country than DH.
Frame $1400 OBO you can buy a new 2007 one if you can find one for about $2100 plus taxes. According to Santa Cruz the current VP Free 2007 is SOLD OUT, difference is 1.5 headtube, and slightly different gussets.
Marzocchi 66 RC 2005 $550.00
You have to see it to appreciate it - the pix shows a different bar and brake system- these I swapped. I can be reached at mogiemo@gmail.com
