First, its "assent" not "consent"

Second, this isn't a formal contract since there was no acceptance on the part of pepper. Pepper's statement would most likely be construed as an offer to negotiate, not an actual contractual offer.

Thirdly, this doesn't need to be in writing to be enforceable so I have no idea what you are doing, since the goods being traded aren't in excess of $500.

Fourthly, if you are concerned enough to want a contract drafted, have it prepared by an ATTORNEY.

Finally, Pepper is a well known member on the forum. It is very unlikely that someone like that would scam another well known member of this forum.
