total bummer... i was really looking forward to having it. thanks for all your time trying. Why exactly did they lock the account and can the ipod seller wait a few days for the funds to be unlocked?

Whenever fkpal sees a lot of activity out of the blue they have a habit of locking up accounts I have been told. They then request invoices of where we are buying the goods (ipods in this case), tracking info from me to you guys, etc etc etc. Not bad to help curb fraud but a PITA none the less. I told them I'd have it that day, but they then needed 3 DAYS to release the hold and we would miss the buy (I had to send money by Friday, and there is the 3 day lag to get the money from my fkpal acct to my bacnk acct AFTER the hold would be released - 6 days + the weekend...).

I am sending a letter today to them (has to be mailed) and will be on the phone to see how soon I can get the money refunded. I am guessing a week due to mail time and their procedures. The couple guys who accidentally sent the money to the g35ipod account have already been refunded. The checks have either been shredded or returned (voided) via mail to the senders. I will get this done as soon as I can, trust me I feel like an a**hole for this not working and then having them tie up your money.

Update

I was just on the phone with fkpal and was told to email the request for refunds. The email just went out and I should hear from someone within 48 hours (not sure if that includes the weekend or not). I will keep you guys posted on the process.

Hey everyone - I spoke to a guy named Paul at fvkpal today. He escalated the request to the accounting department and said that we should hear something withing 24-48 hours (I think thats their mission statement). Anyone sending PMs asking for updates please check here, I will post any info as soon as I have it and dont feel like retyping it over and over


On a better note, I might be able to work something out where I buy these in advance and avoid the whole fvkpal mess. My first priority is getting everyone's money refunded, then I'll work on the other. I wont have details on that for a couple weeks at least, but for those who are interested keep it on radar.

Man fkpal is gay!! You spend all this time organizing a GB for us, and as we all think it probably wont work out, you pull through and paypal fvcks us by freezing your account. What if you where planning on reselling these on ebay or something and fkpal stopped you from getting what you needed and cost you all that moolah? Thanks for trying and it nothing against you. I am interested if you can get this going again.
