Hey,
I applied for membership a week or two ago, but didn't hear back and figured I'd been rejected until I checked my profile and noticed I was a member! Woohoo!
Born in Akron, graduated high school in Springfield, college in Oxford. Lived in Cleveland for 3 years (Cleveland Heights for a year, Lakewood for 2) before moving to Portland, Orygun. I live in Michigan now, but proudly fly my Ohio State flag whenever the neighbors get too uppity about that "team" of theirs with the varmint for a mascot. If it gets too bad, I just say "Jim Tressel" and they acknowledge my (our) superiority.
I don't get to Ohio very often, but I'll see what's going on the next time I'm down there. I am looking for a new job, and going back to Akron is a definite possibility.
Bought my G the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2008 from a dealer in Grand Rapids after they went to an Infiniti auction to get it. I basically told them what I wanted and they found it. Great way to buy a car. Been slowly modding it, and have gone much farther in a much shorter time period than I had planned on, but I'm very happy with it. The next thing I'm doing is the rear blinker mod (possibly tomorrow). Did the front a week or so ago.
Anyhoo, thought I'd say hello. And say thanks for letting me be a part of this club, and the great state of Ohio.

Welcome dude. And I have to agree to PA Brian, that does look uncannily like Ted Yang's car.

Your first name wouldn't be Gordon, would it?
After all the worry about baking my headlights, I think painting them was easier than painting my bumper.
BTW, he must have a pretty sweet ride if it looks like mine.
I know we've talked before, but are you Ted? I made my screen name before I knew there was another Buckeye on here.
lol...buckeyeG is Ben...I am Ted....ben had an '06 BS Sedan with painted headlights, but his lease was up so i traded him my stock headlights for his painted ones before he turned the car in.
Hey Ted, sweet ride! And sweet deal on the headlights.
What wheels are you running? It's hard to tell in your avatar. Sport 18's? I think the 3 lighter colors, BS, DG, and IP, benefit the most from the painted grille/headlight combo. I love the look of my front end now, it makes the car look newer and more aggressive while still being classy. I definitely get more looks now than when it was all stock and shiny.
I've got some minor mods left on my to-do list (springs, coolant control valve, 06 brakes), but I need to take a break, spent more than I had planned for already. But one thing I might splurge on is that HKS Sport Exhaust. I didn't think the G could sound better until I heard one of those.

Greetings to you Ohio G Club members. I am Mike, owner of a slightly modded V36 sedan in Chicago. I've been a regular on driver for a bit, but I am mostly on Chicago Z where I go by the SN of IPx. I met some of your members @ HIN Chicago and was quite impressed by the quality of your cars, especially Dallas' G.
Sadly, I will not be able to go to HIN Columbus to properly represent Chicago, but some of my team/ CZ members will be there. Best of luck to you all @ HIN as I know you guys win big, and hope to see you all sometime down the road
