yea.. was a steal for 100lbs of freight! Amazon had it, but thier price was a bit MORE than Northern Tool WITH the $60 shipping.. wha..?!?!.. with Amazon prime.. not really a deal, just would get it faster. it was a 48 hour deal they had going on for Black Friday... got a sweet Milwaukee Electric Impact wrench then also!

A buddy of mine gave me some wheel dollies for Christmas...They were from harbor freight and actually work pretty good. Although you should probably use two guys guys to get it into place, I was able to do it myself self with some strain.

Now the wife can get her SUV in for the winter

yeah... I need the height to get my fat @$$ UNDER the G to work on it!!

Probably won't get to test drive them until later this Spring... gotta get all that other stuff installed on the car, so I'll get the G on the stands and it'll be an Install Weekend for me when I'm ready to roll... do it all at the same time...

Got these at Harbor Freight Tools for $44 a pair... pretty heavy duty... but I wanted to make sure that the stands were nice and stable with the car 2 feet off the ground while I'm underneath, wrenchin' on the G!

I have the same ones... I modified them so that they would not damage the unibody when using them. A lot of people have talked about taking a hockey puck and cutting a slit in it to sit on the stock lifting points.

got pictures of your mod?

people have done pucks and put it on the saddle of the lift,

http://www.stiblog.com/modifications...-weld-adapter/

like so but nothing i've seen works for the jackstands. the red rubber thing is so wide it hits the body before it makes contact with the pinch weld on the G. Without the rubber that V gap is too deep an you get same problems. I have smaller 1.5 tons that i use mainly because they only need like 15 inchs to clear and have smaller V openings.

Mine are only 3 ton not 6 but they had huge V gaps just like those 6 ton do. I used a chop-saw and a death wheel grinder to put the slit in it. Slit looks crooked but it was just the shape of the grinding disk. Sits over the seam weld like the factory jack does.

with the V channel the way it is, yours will work fine on the subframe rail in the front. I don't usually put mine there though as technically it isn't listed as a lifting point.

i've been going at the frame rail in front because of the small spacer around the pinch weld opening of the G. Its not prefect nor proper but gets the job done in a safe manor.
