ok i added jeremey, dal, and brian to the folder...once you guys set up your drop box account, any file your drop in the OHIO G CLUB folder in your dropbox folder will be shared across the board.
just remember everyone has a 2 gig cap...so don't go filling it all up at once.

and wow...dal is super fast...already uploaded some photos haha...
just fyi drop box is basically cloud computing for storage purposes...so the way it works, user drops a file in the dropbox...it get's uploaded to dropbox server, and then trickles down to all the other computers that have access to that folder. so you should be able to access the file via the web interface at www.getdropbox.com or just give it time and it'll populate down to your computer.

yeah the web interface isn't conducive to previewing files. just install the dropbox app on your computer and i'll automatically d/l them all there anyway. its meant more to be used as a standalone program on a PC. the web interface is just an additional useful feature.
bandwidth wise it only uses bandwidth when someone makes a change to the folder, ie it needs to upload a file to the server, or d/l to make sure the folder is synced up. once everything is checked out to be the same, bandwidth usage should be negligible....

umm kind of...a torrent uses a centralized server to coordinate p2p...where dropbox works of a centralized server that is the cloud...
plus the nice thing with drop box is locally i can just drag all my photos into my drop box folder and i know it'll automatically populate.

so just as a test i grabbed the HD clip of Brian's dyno pull...it's about 500 megs, so i'll leave it up for maybe the weekend or a week (depending on how full the folder gets) and then take it down to free up some space.
