the generator is scheduled to be back on site tomorrow, but they aren't doing the hookup till july 10th, which is a scheduled power outage for the entire site so we can expand to the building next door we just leased

this isn't something I can get out of, I would MUCH rather be in Chicago with you guys rather than sitting in a server room sweating my a$$ off waiting for power to be restored.

 

I know the power is going to be off but since when isnt a server room cooled like crazy?

 

I cant wait either.. you guys doing DJ's and such? I dont think there is an award like that like HIN does... I know they have one for most cars. Let me know on how we are going to do roll in..

 

well let me explain, kind of long winded story:

1. AC unit on roof used to cool room just fine
2. Added additional data domain with 50 TB of data storage
3. Heat climbed and climbed
4. AC unit on roof cannot keep up, room stays around 80-85
5. Added mini AC unit, keeps room around 78
6. we have a brand new huge liebert system in the room recently installed
7. cannot be activated until 480v transfer switches are in place
8. generator needs installed for lines to be finished hooking up
9. generator is installed on the 10th of july
10. have to miss meet because I'm required to be on site

Yea, only when it is available. Mostly on indoor shows.
