Columbus Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show & Cruise-In July 8&9
Hello all,
It was great to break the G out of cold storage yesterday & cruise Polaris for St Pat's Day last night. My baby needs new Toyo Proxes though, rears are pretty worn...
Anyone interested in entering the Arthritis Foundation's Classic Auto Show in July held at Dublin Metro Park with me? I entered last year for the first time just for fun not really expecting anything but I did place in "Sports All Years" division and got a trophy for it. Ironically, I was in the class that had all the Ford 500's as they don't have a dedicated Infiniti or US Imports (Acura,Lexus,Infiniti) division. Nissan got their own division but there were a ton of the Z clubbers entered there.
Anyway, I did the Cruise-In the night before the Show day and was 3 places out of the top 100 to get one of those 6(six) foot trophies. The judges for the cruise-in are self-admittedly partial to American Classics and Muscle so I basically got screwed, BUT I was #103 out of 1500 for the Cruise-In trophy.
Show was fun, would have been nice to have other G's there to hang with as I had the one and only G35 there and the ZRoc crew were 1/4 mile away from me in the Nissan area. There were a ton of little cutie Miatas from their club as well as the WRXs and RX's. I got some good looks for my G from the traditional Muscle owners....
You do have to detail EVERYTHING....inside, outside, undercar, engine bay, trunk...
If anyone is interested, its only $45 to enter for Friday & Saturday and if you pre-register, you do get a nice cooler (last year was a nice folding camping lawn chair). I will be entering and doing the cruise-in, I think I might be able to win one of those 6-ft trophies dammit!
Here's the website and let me know if anyone else is entering...
