Ant will be there for the drive, but probably not the zipline. Also, I've asked a couple of fellow G/Z owners not on the forum (yet) to tag along. And...if we're all feeling lucky, I've asked a co-worker to join us with his recently acquired ride...2011 GT-R Black Edition Send the mojo my way to get these guys convinced to join us!

Melissa and I will be there but we will not be doing the zip line. Jason and Mike are also coming and bringing their women. I am not sure if they will be doing the zip line though. I know Jason and his g/f were talking about possibly trying it.

 

I want to drive the 555 really bad but can't on the 2nd.......I'm quietly praying for the rain day.

 

Just took the Zip line off the tour...lets focus on driving!!!

 

Looking forward to meeting the Ohio crew. Our Indiana cruise last sunday was a blast even with the rain. Between that cruise and this one I think il be at 1100miles on the G. More than I put on in 4 months usually lol.

 

ok. so steve and i are coming from fort wayne. 3.5 hours to get there.

we are kinda stuck on what to do with the womenfolk. we don't want to take them and have them be sick and barfing...especially not in the Gs. but as we all know...an unhappy woman makes for an unhappy driver.

is there somewhere we could dump them out?!?! or should we just leave them at home? the 3.5 hour drive each way will be pretty boring....

 

It's going to be some crazy driving...if they are not into it or get sick easily I would suggest leaving them home. You could leave them in Columbus if you got a hotel at Easton and they would have a place to stay and shop but we will probably be away for 6-7 hours. My wife loves the drive but she makes sure she has mints to chew on to help with motion sickness. I have driven this road twice with OGC and once with ZROC...one time we had to stop for a passenger that almost lost it and with ZROC there was a driver that actually lost his lunch.

Make sure everyone brings 2-way radios! They are a very useful tool for sticking together, passing cars, or just giving each other hell lol. I look forward to this event more than any other every year. Everyone bring your A game and let's have a safe and fun day!

Jeremy, here is the actual route I think you were planning on. You may want post it in your original post as well. Are we doing any type of cookout or just getting food along the way?

There are a lot of RSVP's on fb but I am not sure who all is coming for sure.

 

Chris (cdubel01) and I won't be able to make it this year as his birthday plans have gotten in the way. However, he and I go to most shows and drove 555 last year. If the women aren't into the excitement of driving around in a G all day through curvy roads, they definitely shouldn't go on the drive. I enjoy that kind of thing but a lot of women do not. I agree with Grant, if they have money to spend and can go shopping, get a hotel in Easton and they will have PLENTY to do to keep themselves busy while the guys are driving.

And 3.5 hours isnt that bad of a drive! Chris and I do that all the time... You just have to have good music, passenger takes naps, and I always bring along a book to read
