Alam ko na meron diyan na mga Pinoy/Pinay na gusto nilang maging puti sila, pero hindi nila matatangal ang kanilang pinangalingan.

Its good too know there are some pinoy/pinays na tulad nyo. D tulad ng iba, Ilang taon plang sila dito, kung magsalita at umasta akala mo kung sino, napakayayabang. I've already met two pinoy's here from the forum, and they're cool by the way. pero nakalimutan ko yung username, sorry po
I remember about 2 years ago when I was looking at houses and I went to this one house that's holding an open house.... the real estate agent was a Filipina... and her accent was so deep... "she tok lick dis and see sed, hello, how arrre you? Pilis come in and don't porget to tik opp uuurrr shus". The 2 of us were the only ones in that house... there was NOBODY else.
Knowing she's Pinay besides from looking like one, I responded in Tagalog saying, "Maraming salamat po", then she said, "Pilis tok Inglis to me only por I am an Ameikan and we arrre in Amerika"
And she said it in a raised and rude manner!
I thought WTF are you talking about? Your accent's thicker than frozen molasses in January in the middle of Wisconsin!
Then I rebutted, "
I'm an American citizen before you even came to this country, I grew up here, married an American and my step-father's an American, but I didn't forget what my roots are!"
Her mouth went
I didn't even go in further into the house and called her broker to complain what an obnoxious and rude person she was and he was upset because that house she's holding an open house for was for him and they needed to sell it.

LOL!thats good! that should put her in her place. yeah some people are like that.
To me if you know that your talkin to a fellow filipino and they can understand or can talk in tagalog or what ever language its much better to communicate in that language. Unless there are other people that doesnt understand then talk in english.
Its much more fun to talk in your native tongue dont you think? its much easier to share stories
esp for me coz i suck in english! lol! i shoulda went to my english classes more often when i was in school!
hehehehe

You Go Girl! All my years here growing up in the U.S. it's much worse when people like her go back home and you hear them around the PI talking so yabang in their super thick accent. I remember my very 1st trip back home after being in the States for 18 years, arrived in Manila and my Dad who picked me up took me to Max's Chicken by Edsa I believe. I was sitting there so hungry and so excited that I'm actually there in the Philippines. I got up to go to the bathroom and wash my hands when I accidentally and slightly brushed up upon a Filipino guy. I apologize in Filipino saying "Sorry Po"; then he looked at me and my Dad...given my Dad looking like a typical Farmer..he then in a very heavy thick accent..." Yu Madder Paker..wats out wer yor woking"...then he stares me down. C'mon...it's people like those that give us Filipino's a bad rap.

He had the Napoleon Syndrome going for him. I just shrug it off and just chilled with my Dad. I was more happy just being back home for the very 1st time.
