Nice camera, I just got my D50 today too after eyeing it for over a year. I reconize that box. Did you get it from Ritz Camera? Looks like you got in on the Ritz deal with the Quantaray 28-90mm lens also because my pics look the same as well. IMO, the lens is a POS, but hey I paid a little less than $500 for it and got the $50 gift coupon which I put towards a menory card. Get some pics of your G up, i'll try to do the same.

BTW, now that you have a DSLR, some post processing maybe required. I find most of a the time a little bit of sharpening is needed.

nice camera guys.
i've had mine for about 6 months now....
it's a lot to get used to after coming from a simple point and shoot
but right out of the box it takes some quality stuff.
one word of advise- if you plan on shooting in .RAW get the highest memory you can afford...it just eats it up.

hey how'd you do that? did you use photoshop?

Just a simple sharpen and auto color in photoshop. I was actually trying to open Levels, but accidentally hit auto color and it came out good, so I left it.
