Items you need.

1. 03-04 boot assembly for 6MT $80.36 Part #96935-AL800, will differ depending on your trim. This is for Willow interior. Trying asking for discount, $42 is the cost for it.
2. Rotary tool kit (Dremel, Black & Decker, etc.) with grinding & cutting bits.
3. Screwdriver
4. A pair of goggle not google

Step 1.
With your parking brake on, turn your key to ON and shift to DRIVE. Pull the bottom plastic piece of the **** down and take out the horse shoe shape clip.

Step 2.
Remove the **** completely, raise the armrest and pull the console up.

Step 3.
Disassemble the boot assembly that you just bought from the dealer. Only keep the boot, the aluminum ring, and the black round bracket. You don't need any of the screws.

Step 4.
Remove necessary screws and clips to take the automatic shift gate off along with the circular aluminum plate(the one with P/R/N/D) You won't need them anymore.

Step 5.
I suggest you remove the console piece completely from the car and do the work outside of your car.

You should have a void in the console now. Put the aluminum ring on top and outline the shape of it onto the console with a pencil. This is where your boot will be so make sure it's where you want it. Very important!!! Cut 1-2mm smaller than the outline that you just made. You want the ring to sit on top of the hole not drop right into it. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the console with your rotary tool.

Step 6.
Grab the black round bracket and cut excess pieces off it until it's completely round. Round it down as much as you can without getting too close to the slots. This bracket goes under the console to hold the boot and the aluminum ring on top of the console in place.

Step 6a.
Turn the console over and put the black round bracket underneath the circle that you cut out in step 5. It has to sit flush and perfectly underneath the circle. If there's anything preventing you from lining the bracket up perfectly flat, you have to cut out that area of the bracket to make room for it.

Step 7.
This is probably the hardest part. You need to trim the bottom section of the aluminum ring so that when you insert the ring only the bottom section goes inside the hole. Trim until the diameter of the bottom section is smaller than the top section. The bottom section of the aluminum ring has the pins and clips that need to be inserted into the black round bracket that goes underneath the console. You can trim off as much as you want just as long as you don't get too close to the pins and clips.

Step 8.
Attaching the boot to the aluminum ring using the holes and clips as your guide. Put the ring with the attached boot on top of the cut out hole on the console and snap the round black bracket in place through the bottom of the hole.

Step 9.
Put back the console with the newly attached boot assembly and you're done!

my cousin has a G35 sedan auto and he did that like two years ago and put the momo automatica aluminum shift **** on. It looks amazing. the momo shiftknob looks like its supposed to be there (warning though, that shiftknob gets really really really hot in the summer).

good job, I like the boot look.
