So I got my kuruma painted the guy took my vin and color code. But now the bumper is a lot brighter or red the the rest of the body. Are there different shades of ax6? Like the front looks bright like d&g car. But the rest is a different shade. The guy showed me the color he had mixed and it did say nissan ax6 on it. I haven't had the car ever polished so is it possible that the 7 years of weather has made it dull this bad. Would a 3 stage power polish bring it back?? Or is the nissan and g ax6 different shades?

 

Red is tough to match, polish will help as red turns kinda milky when neglected. A single step polish will take off that haze and make the paint brighter and a 2/3 step will get rid of the swirls and help blend deeper scratches.

i had the same problem when i went to pick up my car today..the paint on the bumper is a tad lighter then the body...i even mentioned it to the owner's son who took care of me..i told him that i may have to bring it back to get redone..and there's a small gap under the driver headlight..he mentioned that it was common for many of the nismo replicas..i guess the part that screws into the fender area shud have been shaved down a tiny bit, but the body guy didn't do it..i don't think the body shop guy fitted the car before he started to paint it.... anyways, the car looks so aggressive now..shud have seen how many necks I was breaking going down the busy streets... i felt like a BOSS

 

So did you end up getting them to repaint. Or do you know whay they did. Like the 3 stage polish is around 400 at local shops but if it won't do much I'm not sure what to do.

 

I'm just gonna have them repaint it again...i think they might have used the red for the 350Z...it's a little different from the G35's red...it cost me $400 to paint it anyways, so i'd rather have them redo it and fix any fitment issues....the car looks good from a distance, but even for sumone like me who's a little color blind, i can still tell a difference...

Ya I was thinking the same that the red for the nissan is a brighter but then on the inside of the door it states nissan ax6 trim g. And the paint he showed me was ax6 nissan. I dunno I'm gonna see how I feel if I decide on the polish or just repaint cuz it cost me 450 so I'm gonna tell the dude to cut me a deal since its getting redone. Regardless your ride looks sick had the nismo v3 with the cf ducts also but sold it cuz I purchased a turbo kit so wanted more openings for the intercooler.
