Bat, this may be abit off topic, but were you by any chance at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino/Hotel for the holiday weekend? Saw a blue viper coupe exactly like yours at the top of the parking garage. Beautiful car whether or not it was you .

 

are those exhaust outlets on the end of the side skirts?...if so, doesnt it make the skirts hot?

 

^^^Who cares...There's always going to be cars that are faster then others...Get over it...Why don't you just buy a Z06 then...Sheesh some people...My car is faster then yours...(i drive a modded Civic...I an beat your Ferrari...So what...The guy with the Ferrari is going to be living in his NICE house and doesn't need to park in the ghetto and have Lo-jack and 5 different alarms...)

Funny as it sounds, I havent had any Vettes try to dogfight me on the roads yet. They'll usually sneak back behind me at a three quarter angle and check out my car. That's about it.

I have a young son, 6 months old, so I'm not at the point yet with my wife pressuring me to get a 4 door. I bought her an SUV on my birthday to fill in that gap for now .

I just replied to bats "rear view mirror answer" just saying that Z06 is as fast/if not faster compared to viper-thats all. Im not try'n to pun anything about his car or whatnot..i personally don't like Z06. I'd take a srt over the corvettes, anyday.

The z06 may be a tad faster, but I'd still choose the Viper over it anyday .

Car is looking good. So are you going out ot the Viper Club of America yearly meet this month? Its in Vegas and should be a few thousand Viper owners there to party and to show their rides off. Its the last week of this month. I will be out there to meet the family. Dads got an 04 Roadster. Anyway, should be a good time and a good opportunity to get your overlays out to the Viper community. Lets just say this, I see Z06's everyday and Vette's out in Cali are almost as common as a Mustang. So when one rolls by, "look, another Vette". Wow. I see a Viper once every month or so. Now when that rolls by people are breaking their neck to get a look. I would take the Viper anyday over a Vette. (and I grew up a Vette lover).

One more thing, you can easily mod a Viper to pushout 1000 HP. The Vettes are tweaked out as mush as they are going to get.

He's doing well. He's getting another widebody kit done to it. He's sporting my smoked overlays on his car, so its looking really nice .

dude calm down, he was thinking zo6 b/c I asked if any z06s had been trying to mess with or race bat. So he just took it from there and was commenting that the z is faster....it was not out of the blue.

 

I understand what you are saying.......but for ME, a viper is cost prohibitive. The fact that you see more vettes and zo6s out there indicate the higher production #s and the subsequent lower price is a great super performing car value. Later on I can probably get a 2-3 yr old 2006 zo6 with low miles for around 40 grand give or take a few grand. This would give me an awesome performing car for a great price.....particularly if everything checks out...carfax, no accidents, no paintwork, nonsmoker, nonflood, non track, stock, mature owner blah blah..blah..........I can swing that. But a 2 yr old viper , not going to happen.......Even if I dug deeper and payed the xtr 16-20+ grand...I would always complain about having to pay off that xtr loan balance.

I love both cars though..............
