My friend was dropping of his newly purchased 1995 MR2 at a mechanic for an installation of a lightweight flywheel and a new clutch. On the way there, I dropped down to check the car out a bit more (drive it) as well as pick my friend up and drop him off at his home. However, I happened to have my Slik Titanium tripod and my Nikon D50 camera with me.

This also gave me a chance to experiment with HDR (the first two pictures are HDR, the rest are normal).

Here they go:

Wow! Nice HDR pics, I have a Nikon D70, bought it a long time ago but haven't really had a chance to mess with it. I wonder if my camera has an HDR function...

That's not a camera function :-) You just bracket the exposure (such as -2.0 EV, -1.0 EV, 0.0 EV, +1.0 EV, +2.0 EV). A tripod is absolutely needed for this, by the way. Keep the aperture the same. Then, use either special HDR software or Photoshop 9 CS2's "HDR Merge" functionality to merge the images into one. Just search the web, there's lot of HDR tutorials.
