Here in Iowa.. we get plenty of snow, which is why I have the G35x.

Me and a few buddies with suburus put on the snow tires and went over to a huge unplowed parking lot near Iowa State University and had some drags, stop tests, rally course fun.

Wheeee!

Here are two more from me, these were taken the day after my car got stuck in the snow and it took 4 men to push it out, and a cop escorted me home ... YAY.
That was of course the last time I drove the car (which was over 3 months ago ):

The magic with keeping the car clean was that there was no salt on the road, so the next morning it all just melted down and the car was real nice and clean underneath. However, I would have rather had the car covered up in snow than be stuck on the side of the road for hours.

As for the summer tires, you are correct. I was running summer tires, and only because ... well i don't have winter tires at all. I don't drive the car in the winter, and this was in early november, it was a friday, the thursday was 60 degrees out, real nice and sunny, then friday came i went to work i came out at 4 it was around 30 degrees out and there were 2 inches of snow on the ground (WELCOME TO WISCONSIN), and i was like "oh $hit" i thought i could possibly make it home since i live only 4 miles away from work, but i didn't consider the fact that there is a hill and that if i stop on the hill ... well that would be the end of it. and well that's what happened.

Anyway we have a lot more snow on the ground now but i have a beater that i drive in the winter so I'm not worried at all
