Ok, I'm obviously new. What's wrong with them?

Step up? What is that supposed to mean? Overspend?

i never said anything about "overspending"

if youre on a budget, axis and luff wheels are cheap but decent looking

Better looking? Whatever happened to beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

More reputable? I don't understand.

I'm not trying to start a flame war. I really don't understand some of the points your guys are making.

I was going to start a thread asking questions about wheels in regards to what makes a good or a bad wheel. I just sold a Miata and the mantra at the Miata website was: lighter is better which on a car with 100whp is definitely something to consider. What other things are there to consider besides weight? Build quality, strength......?

To the point of going with a +1 wheel (19") what are the advantages other than filling up the wheel wells? Admittedly I lean towards the 18s because the car was designed and manufactured with them in mind. I figure you can't go wrong if you keep things within factory specs.

What are the effects of offset? When I included the link to the Kazeras, one guy said the offsets were wrong. Why is that? When I input the kind of car I had the Tire Rack website did include a reference to the sport suspension which I have so I assumed the size given would take those factors into account.

As you can see I don't know the finer points of buying wheels. Please enlighten me.

not all g's came with 18s tho O.o mine came with 17s. does that mean i should have went with 17s for aftermarkets? but wait...the g also comes with 19s o.o so if i were to go with wheels that are similar to the ones that are made for and designed for my car then which would i get? 17s, 18s, 19s, even bigger wheels will be fine. as far as performance...bigger doesnt always mean lighter...if thats why you want 18s because you think the car was made to have 18s. for instance, the stock 19s are lighter than the stock 18s. all depends on what wheel you get and how it was built.

i highly doubt tirerack takes offsets into account...

i bet it just gave you all the 17/18/19/20 inch wheels that had a 5 x 114.3 pattern

Sweet a$$ rims! What are the specs on them? Size, width, offset, etc. Also how about the tire sizes....
