Thats marketing BS, the spokes can be designed the same with less material near the hub that mounts to the rotor if you have extra clearance, they just dont make it because they don't want to have multiple centers. Look at works or SSR or a number of other companies, they change clearance by adding or substrating from the hub, not changing the concavity of the face.

I have 19" R05 Varitant-S in black...it's similar to these wheels...but there is no comparison between my wheels and accord's. He wins!
