i like the painted mirror mounts. i've been thinking about doing that myself. mirrors look good. i still can't justify the cost, but that's just because i'm poor.

 

I wasn't too sure if it would look right with the mounts painted but I'm glad I did it.

Joe you did a really nice job with these. Adds a nice touch to my car. They look so stock that most people don't notice them until I point them out. I've had all positive comments about them. Install and wiring was easy. Since I don't use the stock tweeters anymore(I have a midrange and tweeter in the kickpanels) I ended up using the stock wiring for the tweeters so I wouldn't have to run any new wiring in the door.

 

looks good, but are there two spots, one on top and one on bottom that are still black? seems like there are a couple black spots on the mirror mount, or it's not aligned right. Or is it the rubber from the door? Can you do a close-up pic of the mirror mount?

 

Sorry, with all the shadows from the sun it's hard to make out some things. The only black portion is the little rubber piece at the top of the mount. I'll try to shoot some better pics.

 

Also, there are no problems with alignment or fitment. These are the stock mirror mounts that came with my car.
