whereas overlays look flat.

Did you remove the lenses yourself? Is it a pain? I am no mechanic

Maybe just do the front as well..if its not crazy money.

)the paint that you see on those tails is actually on the exterior. no "lens" has to be removed. the headlights, on the other hand, are usually painted under the plastic cover.
no idea how much he charges, sorry.
also, notice how the reverse lights on the painted tails versus yours. IMO, it looks much cleaner since everything is painted right up the the reverse lights themselves..including the trunk button. looks clean!
