I guess I didn't understand your post then, or the question. When he asked if a GT-R was a GT-R if it doesn't have AWD, well if it came that way from the factory, it wouldn't have a GT-R badge on it, but rather a GT-S badge....all scemantics in the end though

My point was:
A GTR isn't exactly a GTR when it's got only 2WD, even if all else kept the same. By the same token, An AWD Sedan isn't exactly the same as 2WD Sedan, in fact, there may be more difference than GTR vs. GTS. The Brake & rotor, front bumper etc. are different, the road handling dynamics are very different.

Also, if one uses the flawed logics as "A Sedan is a Sedan is a Sedan regardless of 2WD or AWD", they could also conclude "A G35 is a G35 is a G35 regardless of 2 door or 4 door". These two logics are equally flawed

Who cares? To me, your car is a 4 door sedan, reguardless of the all wheel drive or 2 wheel drive...It just makes you an all wheel drive sedan, but a sedan nonetheless...

 

I do! Living in Maine, AWD is a huge deal driving in snow.
After having a BMW & a Mercedes, both RWD & both got stuck in snow.
