We didn't get much time to check out the car show portion of the event, but it was good seeing a lot of familiar faces from the G/Z community! And HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Viet for letting us borrow a turbo pipe from his car after we ran over ours on the time attack car. Without that, we wouldn't have been able to run more than the one timed lap we got before our turbo pipe popped off.

 

No worries Mike. Happy to help out with a part off mine, a show jwt kit came in handy Happy the pipe survived or 2 cars might be getting trailered home.

How did you guys do? We saw your Z screaming around the track.

I am happy it survived too hahaha. I would have felt pretty bad if we were to run over yours as well.

The Z did ok performance wise, but competition wise it did awesome. It was the fastest Nissan/Infiniti there with a 1:48.186 lap time. We just had the bad luck bug this weekend. Blown tires, cracked rotors, pancaked turbo pipes, etc... She has a 1:46 in her somewhere.

We also had fun in Scott's blue 350Z which was fairly stock. Just an intake, cat-back exhaust, Megan coilovers, Megan brakes, and sways and it took 2nd fastest overall Nissan/Infiniti and 1st place in Modified with a 1:56.245.

You should've taken my spot man. I was serious about not competing. Next show for sure, I'm dragging you out there.

man i wish they had events like this in florida. every time i watch speedvision, i always see that g35 with that crazy all color paintjob. surprise i never see that fx on there. nice pics by the way.

 

Give it time it's only been a few months since Viet's Widebody FX has been on the circuit.
