love the night pics...any tips for beginners how to make the pics so crisp and clean? i always have the most difficulty with night shots

first two most important things.. a tripod and use the timer on the camera or a shutter release cable. next is exposure. I have found that shooting in either Av or Tv mode is the easiest, especially at night. To keep the pics from washing out, don't go over f/8. to get the streaks of car lights in pics, an exposure of 2-3 secs is best. a 2-3 sec exposure is why a tripod is a must, you will never be able to hold still that long.
