Those spacers are made by weapon r though, some of their engine bay stuff isn't every high quality. However, Mark (from FL) says these will be the same quality as Project Kics.

Yup some people do. Some bolt patterns don't have wheels that come in aggressive widths/offsets so spacers are a must.

From that link:

"We’ll we’ve teamed up with a good old friend of ours from way back in the day to bring you hellaflush spacers. They’re available in 15, 20, and 25mm to help those that havent’ bought custom wheels and need that extra mm to make it flush or just sit properly inside your fenders. Depending on the size, they’ll come with hub centric billet adapter rings.

They’ll be available thru Fatlace Online, Fatlace Japantown and dealers worldwide. If you have any interest carrying these, please contact."

Don't think they are encouraging spacers to get flush, its geared towards those who don't have an option (other than custom).
