to each their own holmes.

I'm a little tired of seeing the same cars with the same wheels

You're aware this is more about the fitment and not how clean the body is right?

Just saying because you're critiquing cars about the wrong things.

Yeah, I'm aware this is about fitment, but here's my take.

If someone put flushed HRE's on a Geo Metro, I don't care how stretched the tires are, or if the wheels are made of pure gold. It's just not right.

If that's the case, anybody can buy a cheapo car and slap on some wheels on it. Which will probably cost more than the car itself. Then proceed to slap a bunch of HellaFlush stickers on the car. Bam! Next thing you know these car shows are filled in Geo Metros and old woody wagons with worn out body work but oh so glamorous wheels.

It's like the phrase that are applied to ricers that states something along the lines of "With all the money they spent on parts, they could have bought a better starting car."

The above is my opinion, and no offense to Geo Metro drivers out there. I'm jealous of you're MPG. Just don't mount some VIP wheels or something.

edit: I'm tired of seeing the same old cars being fitted with same wheels as well. But there are still a good number of cars out there that haven't gotten old yet. Or just need a new set of uncommon wheels that nobody has ever tried before.

Yea, but it IS about the fitment. If they fit baller wheels on their heap of **** then it's still impressive.

With the real brutal car (Geo Metro for example) It is so hard to mod those properly. Try and find good suspension on some of those heaps of ****.

They might look like weapons but as long as the fitment is clean, they fit in to this community, that's what is so cool about the fitment scene. It doesn't matter what you drive, you're all there for the same thing.

Go lurk on the wrong fitment website, there is never any **** talking and it's all constructive criticism. Nothing like, oh you're stupid you drive a FWD car or you drive a slow car etc. It's all "dirty wheels, I like what you did with something that is otherwise a heap" lol

True. I've seen cars completely turn around by a nice set of fitted wheels. But that picture above just doesn't look right. Those bright polished wheels look really good and sleek on a sportier car. But on that wagon. it just looks tacky. If someone gave me that wagon, I would rather roll on the stock wheels. Nobody gets the "ghetto" vibe from it? Old car? Big shiny wheels?

Maybe it's where I live. Because around here, I see a lot of bucket cars whose owner manages to buy chrome wheels and it looks plain ridiculous.
